The Blessedness of Brotherly Unity
The psalm declares how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity. This unity is likened to precious ointment poured on Aaron's head, flowing down his beard and garments, and to the dew falling on Hermon and the mountains of Zion, upon which the Lord commands His blessing and everlasting life.
