Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 142 Summary
Plea for Deliverance from Enemies
The psalmist pours out his complaint to the Lord, revealing his overwhelming troubles and the snares secretly laid against him. Finding no human refuge or helper, he declares the Lord as his only refuge and portion. He calls upon the Lord to hear his urgent cry, to deliver him from persecutors stronger than himself, and to bring his soul out of prison so he may praise God's name.
