Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 16 Summary
The LORD is my portion and heritage
The psalmist asks God to preserve him, declaring the LORD is his Lord and portion. He delights in the saints and excellent upon earth, refusing to follow other gods or their drink offerings. The LORD maintains his lot and heritage in pleasant places, counseling him and giving him instruction in the night. With the LORD always before him, his heart is glad and flesh rests in hope, for God will not leave his soul in hell nor suffer His Holy One to see corruption, showing him the path of life with fullness of joy.
