Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 19 Summary
God's glory and law declared
The heavens declare God's glory and the firmament shows His handiwork, day unto day and night unto night uttering speech and showing knowledge without words. The sun rises as a bridegroom and runs its course without hiding from its heat. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul and making wise the simple; His statutes are right, rejoicing the heart, and His commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. God's judgments are true and righteous, more desirable than gold and sweeter than honey, warning His servant and rewarding those who keep them. The psalmist asks God to cleanse him from secret faults and keep him from presumptuous sins, that his words and meditation be acceptable in His sight.
