Psalms 35 Summary

Plea Against False Accusers

The psalmist pleads with the Lord to fight against those who persecute him without cause, asking that his enemies be confused and the angel of the Lord chase them. He describes those who laid hidden nets for him and false witnesses who brought charges against him, yet when they were sick he mourned, but they repayed him with mockery. The psalm ends with his vow to praise the Lord in the congregation and among the multitude.
