Bible Chapter Summary
Psalm 37 Summary
The Way of Righteousness and Patience
The psalmist exhorts not to fret over evildoers who will soon wither like grass, but to trust in the Lord and do good, being fed as one dwells in the land. He promises that the meek shall inherit the earth and delight in abundance of peace. The lengthy psalm contrasts the temporary prosperity of the wicked with the eternal inheritance and care of the righteous, whose steps are ordered by the Lord and who shall not be utterly cast down.
