Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 50 Summary
God judges His people and rebukes the wicked
The mighty God, the LORD, has spoken and called the earth to judgment from sunrise to sunset. God shines forth from Zion and comes with fire, speaking to judge His people and gather His saints who have made covenant with Him by sacrifice. God declares that He does not reprove for sacrifices or burnt offerings but calls for thanksgiving and the payment of vows to the Most High, promising to deliver those who call in trouble. Yet to the wicked, God rebukes their abuse of His statutes and covenant, their theft, adultery, and slander, declaring that He will reprove them and set their sins in order before their eyes.
