Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 66 Summary
Works of God Among All Nations
All the earth is called to make a joyful noise to God and sing forth the honour of His name. God's works are terrible, and through the greatness of His power His enemies submit themselves to Him. The psalm recounts how God turned the sea into dry land and how the people went through the flood on foot, rejoicing in Him. God rules by His power over the nations and has proven and tried His people as silver is tried, yet He has brought them out into a wealthy place. The psalmist vows to go into God's house with burnt offerings and pay his vows while declaring what God has done for his soul.
