Psalms 75 Summary

God the Judge Exalts the Righteous

The psalmist gives thanks to God for His nearness and wondrous works, and declares that God alone is the Judge who upholds the earth and its pillars, humbles the proud, and refuses to accept presumption or arrogance. Promotion comes from God alone, not from cardinal directions, and He holds a cup of divine judgment whose dregs the wicked must drink. The psalmist vows to declare God's name forever, cut off the horns of the wicked, and exalt the horns of the righteous.
