Psalms 76 Summary

God's Power Known Through His Sanctuary

God's great name and power are known in Judah and Israel through His sanctuary in Salem and dwelling place in Zion, where He broke the enemy's arrows, shields, swords, and battle. The mighty and stouthearted were spoiled and slept in death, unable to find power against God. At God's rebuke, both chariot and horse lay dead, and when He rose to judgment, He saved the meek and the earth feared and was still. His people are called to vow offerings and bring presents to Him who is to be feared.
