Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 84 Summary
Longing for God's House and Blessing
The psalmist expresses deep longing for God's tabernacles and courts, desiring them more than earthly dwellings. Those who dwell in God's house are blessed and continually praise Him, and blessed too are those whose strength is in God and whose hearts are set on His ways. As pilgrims pass through the valley of Baca, they make it a well and gain strength to strength. The psalmist prefers one day in God's courts and being a doorkeeper in His house to living in tents of wickedness, for God gives grace, glory, and withhold no good from those who walk uprightly.
