Bible Chapter Summary

Romans 14 Summary

Judging Not One Another in Weak Conscience Matters

Paul instructs believers to receive the weak in faith without doubtful disputations, addressing disagreements over eating all things versus eating only herbs. Each person must be fully persuaded in his own mind regarding dietary practices and holy day observance, living unto the Lord. The passage emphasizes that all things are pure to those who believe, yet one must not eat if it causes a brother to stumble; love requires not destroying a brother with one's liberty. Since all believers stand before Christ's judgment seat, believers are forbidden to judge one another, and the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost, not meat and drink.
