Bible Chapter Summary
Romans 16 Summary
Greetings, Warnings, and Final Benediction
Paul commends Phebe, a deacon at Cenchrea, and greets numerous church members by name, honoring those like Priscilla and Aquila who risked their lives for him and the gospel. He instructs the church to receive one another with a holy kiss and marks those causing divisions and offences contrary to doctrine, commanding believers to avoid them. Paul warns that such deceivers serve their own belly rather than Christ, yet rejoices that Roman believers' obedience is known to all and exhorts them to be wise unto good and simple concerning evil. The epistle concludes with assurance that God will bruise Satan under their feet shortly, greetings from Paul's companions, and a doxology ascribing glory to God through Jesus Christ forever.
