Zechariah 4 Summary

The Golden Lampstand and Olive Trees

Zechariah sees a golden lampstand with a bowl on top, seven lamps, and seven pipes, flanked by two olive trees. The angel explains this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: not by might nor by power, but by God's Spirit. The great mountain before Zerubbabel will become a plain, and his hands will both lay the foundation and finish the temple. The two olive trees represent two anointed ones who stand before the Lord of the whole earth.
