Bible Chapter Summary
Ezekiel 10 Summary
The Glory Departs and the Wheels Turn
Ezekiel sees the sapphire throne above the cherubims and the man clothed in linen is commanded to take coals of fire from between the cherubims and scatter them over the city. The glory of the LORD goes up from the cherub and stands over the threshold of the house as the cloud fills it. The cherubims lift their wings and mount up from the earth while the wheels move beside them, both covered with eyes round about. The four faces of each cherub—the face of a cherub, man, lion, and eagle—are identified as the living creatures Ezekiel saw by the river Chebar.
