Bible Chapter Summary
Ezekiel 9 Summary
The Executioners and the Marked
Six men with slaughter weapons and one man clothed in linen with a writer's inkhorn come from the north gate. God commands the man with the inkhorn to mark the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry for all the abominations done in the city, while the six men are instructed to slay all others without sparing, beginning at the sanctuary. The slaughter begins among the ancient men before the house, filling the courts with the slain. The man in linen reports that he hath done as commanded.
