Bible Chapter Summary

Ezekiel 13 Summary

Judgment Against False Prophets

God commands Ezekiel to prophesy against the foolish prophets of Israel who follow their own spirit and claim to speak God's word though He has not sent them. These prophets are compared to foxes in the desert, failing to build up the wall for Israel's battle. God declares woe upon them for their vain visions and lies, and pronounces that His hand shall be against them. God also addresses women prophets who use magic bands and kerchiefs to hunt souls for handfuls of barley, declaring that God will tear away their enchantments and deliver His people from their hands.
