Bible Chapter Summary
Ezekiel 8 Summary
Vision of Abominations in the Temple
In the sixth year, Ezekiel is lifted up by the spirit in a vision to Jerusalem, where he sees greater abominations than before. In the temple courts, seventy elders with censers worship creeping things and abominable beasts portrayed on the walls. Women weep for Tammuz at the temple gate, and twenty-five men bow before the sun toward the east. God shows Ezekiel these hidden wickedness and declares that He will pour out His fury without sparing or pity, for they have filled the land with violence and provoked Him to anger.
