Bible Chapter Summary

Hebrews 8 Summary

The Better Covenant and Heavenly Ministry

The author summarizes that Christ is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens as a high priest and minister of the true tabernacle which the Lord, not man, pitched. As mediator of a better covenant established on better promises than the first, Christ obtained a more excellent ministry. God prophesies through Jeremiah of a new covenant where he will write his laws in the hearts and minds of the people and remember their sins no more, making the old covenant obsolete and ready to vanish away.
