Bible Chapter Summary
Hosea 5 Summary
Judgment on Priests, Kings, and Ephraim's Idolatry
The LORD indicts the priests and the house of the king for becoming a snare and net at Mizpah and Tabor. Ephraim and Israel commit whoredom and are defiled; their pride testifies against them, and they shall fall with Judah. Though they seek the LORD with flocks and herds, they shall not find Him because He has withdrawn Himself. The LORD will be unto Ephraim as a moth and to the house of Judah as rottenness until they acknowledge their offence and seek His face.
