Bible Chapter Summary
Hosea 6 Summary
Call to Return and God's Desire for Mercy
The LORD calls Israel to return, promising He hath torn and will heal, hath smitten and will bind them up. After two days He will revive them; in the third day He will raise them up. God desires mercy and knowledge of God more than burnt offerings, yet Israel's goodness is as a morning cloud. The LORD hath hewn them by the prophets and slain them by the words of His mouth. The priests murder in the way by consent, and Ephraim's whoredom is discovered; Israel is defiled.
