Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 15 Summary
Moab's Mourning and Ruin
The burden of Moab: in the night, Ar and Kir of Moab are laid waste and brought to silence. The people mourn with baldness and beards cut off, girding themselves with sackcloth in the streets and on housetops. Their cities shall howl, and the armed soldiers cry out. The waters of Nimrim shall be desolate, and all their abundance shall be carried away. The cry goes round about Moab's borders unto Eglaim and Beer-elim, and the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood, for the LORD will bring lions upon those that escape.
