Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 62 Summary
Zion's Restored Glory and New Names
For Zion's sake the Lord will not rest until righteousness and salvation appear as brightness and burning lamps. Jerusalem shall be called by a new name and shall no longer be termed Forsaken or Desolate, but Hephzi-bah and Beulah, as the Lord delights in her and her land shall be married. Watchmen are set upon the walls to give God no rest, and the Lord swears corn and wine shall not be taken by enemies. The redeemed shall be called The holy people and the city shall be sought out, not forsaken.
