Jeremiah 35 Summary
Rechabites Obey, Judah Refuses
Jeremiah brings the Rechabites to the temple and offers them wine, but they refuse because their father Jonadab commanded lifelong abstinence and nomadic living. God uses their steadfast obedience to rebuke Judah's persistent disobedience to His prophets. The Rechabites are promised that Jonadab's descendants will never lack a man to stand before the Lord.
