Bible Chapter Summary
Job 38 Summary
The Lord Questions Job's Knowledge
The Lord answers Job out of the whirlwind, asking who darkens counsel by words without knowledge. God demands that Job gird his loins and answer: Where was Job when God laid the earth's foundations? God describes creating the earth, sea, dayspring, and darkness, ordering snow, hail, lightning, and rain, and sustaining all creatures from ravens to lions. God asks if Job can bind the stars, command weather, feed wild beasts, or comprehend the ordinances of heaven.
