The Good Samaritan and Mary and Martha
A lawyer asks who is my neighbor? Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan: a man beaten and left; priest and Levite pass by; a Samaritan binds his wounds and pays for his care. Which was a neighbor? Go and do likewise. Then Mary sits at Jesus feet listening while Martha works; Jesus affirms Mary has chosen the better thing.
