Bible Chapter Summary

Malachi 2 Summary

Covenant Broken, Judgment Pronounced

God warns the priests that if they do not hear His commandment and give glory to His name, He will curse their blessings and corrupt their seed. He recalls His covenant with Levi, who walked in peace and turned many from iniquity, contrasting it with the present priests who have corrupted the covenant and caused many to stumble at the law. The Lord further condemns Judah for profaning His holiness through marriage to daughters of strange gods and for treachery against the wives of their youth, declaring He hates putting away.
