Bible Chapter Summary
Matthew 8 Summary
Jesus Heals and Casts Out Demons
Jesus descends from the mountain and heals a leper who worships him. A centurion's servant is healed through the centurion's great faith, and Jesus marvels at such trust. Jesus heals Peter's wife's mother and casts out many demons and sicknesses from those brought to him. Traversing to the other side by ship, Jesus commands the winds and sea in a great tempest, displaying authority over nature, and casts out two demon-possessed men near the Gergesenes.
