Bible Chapter Summary
Proverbs 15 Summary
Speech, Temperance, and the Merry Heart
Proverbs 15 emphasizes that a soft answer turns away wrath while grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, and wholesome speech is a tree of life. The eyes of the LORD behold both evil and good everywhere. A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance and provides continual feast, while sorrow breaks the spirit. Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with trouble, and wise children make their fathers glad.
