Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 10 Summary
Psalm Against the Proud Wicked
The psalmist questions why God stands afar off and hides Himself in times of trouble. He describes the wicked man's pride and persecution of the poor, boasting in his heart's desire and blessing the covetous. The wicked refuses to seek God, his ways are grievous, and he lurks in villages to murder the innocent and catch the poor in his net. Yet the psalmist appeals to God to arise and lift His hand, for He has seen the mischief and spite and will judge both the fatherless and oppressed. The psalmist declares that the LORD is King for ever and the heathen shall perish, and He will prepare the heart of the humble to hear and judge rightly.
